’ Garamond Type specimen’

| For Design studio G at Uni, had to research and design a two sided Black and white toned A0 type specimen on an allocated typeface, in this case garamond. Its meant to fold down into an a3 piece (don’t ask me why!) I didn’t get photos of my final so these are just the digital flats, so you won’t be able to see my folds yet unfortunately. Each side of the poster was themed, one had to be exciting and display the typeface in a way that determined its character. The other, was to be informative. I went for a minimalist approach, and on my exciting side my inspired by da vinci’s virtruvian man, as Garamond is known to be one of the most legiable and beautiful old style sanserif typefaces, a work of art. The other side was simplistic and continued the same shapes and lines. |

I like the exciting side better than the other, the whole project was a bit meh. But anyways, hope I do alright with this one. :)

side note: tumblr has somehow managed to butcher this file, can’t seem to fix it…

‘Gliding through the sky on a starry night’| So yeah, its a flying whale blimp. Worked on this on and off for a while, not much else to say. Thought of the concept out of nowhere… probably been explored before, but it was fun to do the linework! ^_^ |Enjoy!

‘Welcome to my own Little World’| ‘Welcome to my world where the air I breath is mine, Nothing to overwhelm me, nothing to cloud my mind, Be anyone, do anything I’d ever want to try, time doesn’t exist here, I will never die…’ - Own Little world Celldweller- Coloured an old sketch, had a try at backgrounds. Was rather satisfied.|

‘Concertina flats and final’

| Finished project for Uni. Only got it back today so I could take proper photos. It was a bitch to get photos of…. Hopefully it gives you an idea what it looks like. Also apologies for the horrible lighting. |

Hi Nick, (wasn’t sure how to reply….) there is only two colours (or inks I guess you would call it)! shocking I know! They are just different transparencies/tints. I choose the bright Red and Blue because it had a nice contrast and worked well together to make certain parts of the type stand out or recede. I also choose it because you could read the type in either of the colours making it easier to design. Plus this colour combination is a favorite of mine c:

‘Eos body bar (soap) Packaging design’

| For a Uni project we had to design packaging and a new identity for a high end brand of anything we wanted. I choose to do soap. It had to stand out among the competition, while being environmentally friendly, using no glue and appealing to in my case a 30+ year inner city woman, concerned with her daily skin treatment. I choose the name Eos, as it is the name of the Goddess of dawn from Ancient Rome, which I thought reflected how soap was used in a morning ritual to cleanse and beautify. |

Quite happy with how this turned out c:

‘Green Energy’
| Fast forward a few hundred years into the future. We have found the most sustaining energy. Vessels cloned off human and plant DNA, literally grown in the ground where energy is siphoned off them as they grow and develop like a plant. The flowers seen above ground represent their life span. When all flowers have died the energy and clone dies too. Each flower grows at a different rate so that life and energy is preserved as long as possible. |Just a little weird concept I was playing around with a while ago. Finally finished it… not sure whether I’ll come back to it at some point to touch up. For now enjoy.

‘Enjoying a quiet one’| Just a monster, quietly enjoying his tea.|So I haven’t posted for a while- I’ve been super busy with Uni, work and life. :) Anyways I do have some stuff in progress which I haven’t finished yet. But enjoy this sketchy while you wait.

Goodbye Grandma.

I hope I can look this beautiful on my wedding day (if I ever get married) and still manage to look like the queen 60 odd years later.

Rest in Peace Grandma, I’ll miss you. (Died 23rd of Feb- aged 84)

‘Life’
| A representation of life, how we are constantly caught up in the problems and societal expectations of life and how we try our best to untangle ourselves from them. |
Took many hours to paint…. I’m unsure how to describe it properly… maybe because it has too much personal meaning for me. ANYWAYS I think I am slowly improving my skills- enjoy!
